I may seem to have been absent from blog land for a while -- not posting or commenting as much as I usually do. But I have been here, reading and keeping up with everyone. I have just been trying to keep my fingers away from the keyboard because of this very lovely pregnancy symptom that I have, carpal tunnel syndrome, and lucky me, I have it in both hands!! Just about every use of my hands and fingers causes pain, tingling and numbness. Holding the phone up to my ear, brushing my teeth, holding a fork, texting, holding a book, etc. If it involves using my hands, it is no fun! I have even had a hard time sleeping at night because it is hard to find a position that's not on my back that keeps my arms and hands in a neutral position and doesn't cause excruciating pain.
Whine, whine, whine...I know. While this is definitely not a fun preggo symptom, I know that it is temporary and I mean it when I say, that it is worth it. And I don't say that because I look like a total hottie in these snazzy wrist braces. It is proof that I am still pregnant (in the oppressive Georgia heat) and that Pooh is growing stronger by the day. I am 33 weeks and 6 days pregnant today and I am so thankful for that. Only three more progesterone shots and five more NST's to go. It is pretty mind blowing when I stop and think about how far we have come and how close we are to meeting our sweet girl face to face. The countdown continues.

Ouch! I hope it eases up once baby arrives, you'll need your hands! I started getting wrist pain after Noah arrived, I think from the way I was holding him when I was nursing. Every now and then I get a cramp in my hand from holding his bottle in an awkward position. Take care of yourself!
I know carpal tunnel is no fun, fortunately not from personal experience but Adam has it in both hands and he wears the snazzy wrist braces when he sleeps, drives, and mows. He wears them intermittently at other times too, but I can always tell when his wrists and hands are really bothering him.
33w6d!! Hooray! Getting so close to meeting Pooh! Lol - I've been countin down my progesterone shots also and we have 3 NSTs left and then we start weekly BPPs until we deliver.
We are in the home stretch! Too bad Oklahoma isn't closer to Georgia...we could get these rainbows together!
Hi,
I am new to your blog.
Just thought I would leave a comment about pregnancy carpal tunnel being a stinker!
Towards the end of my pregnancy with my son Xavier, I had such bad carpal tunnel that I didn't even like having my hands touched, even lightly brushing up against something was too much.
Good luck in the coming weeks.
It has to be pretty scary at this point, being in the home stretch! You are so very strong..keep up the good work :)
Congratulations on 33 weeks and 6 days!
That is too bad about the carpal tunnel. And in both hands too. I hope it gets better quickly after Pooh is born.
Carpal tunnel sounds so extraordinarily uncomfortable! I am sorry that you are experiencing such a painful pregnancy symptom. You have such a positive attitude about it! I love the pictures and caption. :-)
And of course, happy 34 weeks! xoxo I can't express enough how excited I am for you! Counting down the days with you! Love to you!
